![]() 2/1/08 - Once again icy road conditions kept several Fire & Ems crews busy. At 0558 Station 27 was dispatched for a vehicle crash in the 900 Blk of Dunmore St. Chief Bocan (R27) arrived on scene and assumed command, advised the crash was at S.Valley Ave & Ash St. Command requested EMS only for pt. eval, and due to road conditions, placed all apparatus back in service. L27 & R27 cleared the box at 0611. ![]()
![]() 2/4/08 - Station 27 was dispatched at 1845 for the reported car fire across from Keystone Propane. Prior to apparatus responding, additional information by Lack Comm Center stated that this is now a dumpster fire, not a car fire. Crews from the 27 Rescue & 27 Engine responded on the investigation, and upon their arrival found a dumpster involved. Capt Cesari (R27) had command. The 27 Ladder held at quarters and cleared the box at 1900. ![]()
![]() 2/8/08 - Another crash on the Marshwood Rd kept crews from Station 27 busy. At 0641, R27 & L27 responded to the crash on the Marshwood Rd between the ramps of the Casey Hwy. R27 arrived on scene and advised to cancel all other fire units, that they had controlled fluid hazards, and were waiting for 23 EMS for pt. eval. L27 cleared the box at 0701. ![]()
![]() 2/9/08 - Icy road conditions contributed to a one vehicle crash on the Casey Hwy WB Ex. 1 at 2330 hrs. The original call was dispatched at Casey Hwy & 81 , and Station 6 (Dunmore) was not able to locate it in their coverage area. E6 located crash and had Station 27 dispatched. R27, L27, E27 along with 23-9 responded on the call. R27 arrived on the scene and advised pt had left the scene. The 27 Ladder was arriving on scene and R27 officer placed all companies back in service. L27 cleared the box at 0005 hrs. ![]()
![]() 2/11/08 - At 1315 hrs, Station 27 & 23(Dickson City) were dispatched to Adams Ct for a report of a broken water pipe in the basement. Chief 27-2(Hartshorn) arrived on scene and cancelled all 23 units, and requested 1 engine to respond. The 27 Rescue went on the investigation and had utility's notified. The 27 Ladder held at Quarters and cleared the box at 1325. ![]()
![]() 2/22/08 - On this snowy evening at 1800, Station 6 & Ladder 23 were dispatched for a possible Structure Fire at the U.P.S. Bldg located at 700 Keystone Ind Park, Throop. Station 6 (Rescue & Ladder) marked responding and advised Lack Cnty EOC that this call is in area 27 (Throop) and Lack EOC dispatched 27 Fire. Chief 27-2 (Hartshorn) arrived on scene and assumed command on side 3. Station 6 Apparatus along with R27 were also assigned side 3, while the 27 Engine and the 27 Ladder were assigned to take side 1. Upon further investigation crews found an electric outlet in the breakroom had malfunctioned. Command placed the 27 Ladder and 27 Engine back in service in case there was any additional emergency calls in the area. Apparatus on the box : R6, L6, L23, L27,R27, E27, C27, TSU27, 23-9(EMS). Ladder 27 cleared the box at 1825. ![]()
![]() 2/24/08 - At 1430 hrs, Station 27 crews were dispatched for a 2 vehicle crash with injuries in Throop Borough, in front of 319 George St. Chief 27-2 (Hartshorn) arrived on scene and assumed Command and advised all Pt's out of the vehicles, requested 27 Rescue to continue to the scene, and placed 27 Ladder & 27 Engine Back in service.
