At The Firehouse. Throop Hose Company # 1, Is Designated as the 271 Engine By The Lackawanna County Emergency Services And Is Dispatched On Freq. 154.310. The 271 Engine Also Opperates On Other Ground Frequencies And Mutual Aid Channels, As Directed By Command. The Borough Of Throop Has 3 Fire Companies: Throop Hose Company # 1, 512 Center St; Engine 271, (Ladder 27,Coming Soon), Cascade Air 27, Squad 275 ( Brush 27) http://www.throophoseco1.org Throop Hose Company # 2, 206 Boulevard Ave; Engine 27, Car 27, Rehab 27 ( Coming Soon ) http://www.27fire.com Volunteer Hose Co, 401 Dunmore St; Rescue 27, TSU 27(Tactical Support Unit) http://www.throopfire.com The Three Fire Companies Provide 24 Hour Volunteer Fire Emergency Services Protection To The Borough Of Throop And Surrounding Communities As Requested. The Borough Of Throop Has Approx. 4500 Residents And Is Comprised Of Residential, Commercial And Industrial Bussinesses.
